Keeping your vinyl patio enclosures and sun shades sparkling is not complicated! We recommend using a simple wood floor mop and a vinyl cleaner, which you can easily purchase at your local hardware or marine store or find online. Every few months, spray the vinyl cleaner on the mop and wipe the inside and outside of your enclosures. Though it may seem tempting to simply use whatever you have on hand, any other material may scratch and cloud the clear vinyl.
To help, we have a video to show you how easy it is to regularly maintain your vinyl patio enclosures.
We are proud to provide a three-year warranty on any manufacturer’s defects. We stand behind our products 100%, so we are happy to help you navigate any warranty claims. For the most part, warranty repair issues are very simple. When we determine, together, that your sun shades need reconstruction, you remove the vinyl patio enclosures from their tracks, fold them up, and ship them to our manufacturing location. That’s it.
The provisions of the warranty vary based on the type of enclosures you purchase. Our Rope and Pulley system is rated to withstand winds of up to 45 mph. Any repeated exposure to higher winds while in a rolled down position will certainly cause damage to your enclosure and will, therefore, void the warranty. Our high wind vinyl patio enclosures are built to withstand winds up to 65 mph, and the same is true for these enclosures as for the rope and pulley version—any repeated exposure to higher winds while in the rolled down position will cause damage and void the warranty.
Vinyl patio enclosures should be handled with extreme care. Don’t underestimate the force that your sun shades can wield; individual panels have a surface area of more than 100 square feet each and can generate a force of nearly 1,000 lbs in a 35 mph wind gust. Don’t minimize that risk.
Because of that very real risk, we recommend that you get into the habit of rolling up your enclosures at the end of each use. When you do this, you’ll keep them safe when an unexpected wind gust or storm takes you by surprise. Keeping your patio enclosures rolled up also helps to protect the attachments and tie-downs from excessive strain and will help you maximize the life of your patio enclosures.
In the event of a surprise severe weather event or if you have any doubt concerning the safe handling and operation of your patio enclosures, we recommend that you evacuate the area and retract the entire enclosure system only when it is safe to do so. If you are aware that severe weather is entering the area, we recommend that you retract the enclosures PRIOR to the weather breaking to prevent damage to your curtains and to ensure your safety. NEVER ATTEMPT TO ROLL UP THE PATIO ENCLOSURES DURING HEAVY WINDS.
One of the benefits of our patio enclosures is their easy installation process. You can choose to install them yourself or we offer installation for an additional charge. We have an easy-to-follow video that can help you install your new enclosures, walking you through the process step-by-step. Our commitment to our customers means that we are also available by phone to answer any questions that you have. If you would like one of our certified crews to install your enclosures, we have crews in Austin, Atlanta, and Orlando and can send our Texas team throughout the United States to assist with larger installations for an additional fee.
