Patio Enclosures Care, Easy to Use and Maintain
No one wants to add more work to an already busy schedule, and at Southern Patio Enclosures we don’t believe that your vinyl patio enclosure should create more stress than it eliminates. Your outdoor space should be protected by a simple to use and easy to care for patio enclosure, not one that requires a complicated maintenance schedule.
Patio Enclosures are Easy to Use
Your durable enclosure from Southern Patio Enclosures will always be simple to use. When you lower the patio walls and when you retract them, the superior quality of our patio enclosures is clear. With metal tracks and durable vinyl material, our patio enclosures are tough enough to withstand wind gusts of up to 45 mph. Our High Wind Patio Enclosure can do even more, withstanding wind gusts of up to 65 mph.
Lowering your enclosure walls is a simple process. For our High Wind Patio Enclosures, you will either use a motorized switch or a hand crank to lower the walls into place. With standard enclosures, you’ll utilize the rope and pulley system that unrolls the walls without difficulty or, in the case of shorter patios and porches, simply unroll them yourself by unfastening the Velcro strips and handrolling them up or down. A few moments and you’ll be finished, with a patio enclosure that has created a comfortable outdoor space.
Vinyl Patio Enclosures are Easy to Maintain
Once you install your patio enclosure, you’ll need to maintain it. But how much work does that entail? Very little—in fact, you’ll likely spend much less time worrying about keeping up your patio enclosure than you will about many other home maintenance items. All it takes is a little mild soap and water once a year or so to wash off the grit and grime that has accumulated on the surface of your patio enclosure. When you take the time to do this, you’ll ensure the clear vinyl in your patio enclosure stays crystal clear and will never yellow with age. If you’re interested in more of a shine, order our special shine kit with your patio enclosure, which includes a microfiber cleaning cloth, #210 polish, and an extension pole.
Keeping your enclosure in good condition is about more than just a yearly cleaning and polish—you must be sure that you are using them properly and keeping them safe. When a strong storm is on the way, and the meteorologists are predicting winds of higher than 45 mph for our patio enclosures or 65 mph for our motorized enclosures, retract and carefully secure your patio enclosure walls to their tracks to eliminate any potential damage. NEVER do this during a storm—only take these precautions before the storm begins. When spring and summer arrives, and the nice weather comes, you may decide to remove and store your patio enclosure. If you do, simply slide them out of the installed tracks and place them carefully in a safe storage area.
