Enclosed Patio at Verdes Mexican Parilla

Verde’s Mexican Parilla, a popular and beautiful fine dining establishment that combines the love of family with the love of good food, is a cautionary tale about choosing the wrong product to create an enclosed patio.

Verde’s had ordered from our direct competitor, looking to expand their seating area and their ability to host large private parties. That choice came back to haunt them, as the product they used to create their enclosed patio only stayed intact for one year. After that, it was what we call “completely blown out,” with seams that had ripped and therefore rendered the protection they wanted completely useless.

Stitched Clear = Enclosed Patio Fail

Verde’s tried to repair their existing enclosed patio product with duct tape, to seal up the tears and rips, for two years but they were ready for a change. Part of the problem with their previous purchase was that it didn’t account for the high wind area that Verde’s sits in. Our customized enclosed patio products, especially our High Wind Designer series, do—our vinyl enclosed patios are rated to withstand up to 65 mph winds without damage, when used properly. How can we do that? It’s all about the RF weld process, which bonds the clear vinyl together without stitching, leaving no perforation for the wind to compromise.

So when Verde’s was ready to replace the old, torn vinyl enclosure with something stronger, they called Southern Patio Enclosure. Of course, we were happy to help. We knew that our High Wind Designer series was the perfect choice for their beautiful patio, and because of our customizable options, they were able to not only get a product that was perfectly suited to their space but that also came in the color they wanted. (Made sense that Verde’s chose a beautiful dark green!)

And with our three year warranty, Verde’s doesn’t have to worry about anything. If they weren’t already sure that our High Wind Designer enclosed porch would work well for them, they at least know that they won’t be using duct tape for two of the three years of the warranty. If something goes wrong because of a defect, it goes back. That’s our promise.

Verde’s has already reaped the rewards of this new enclosed patio. Despite cold, rain, and win during the spring, summer, and fall, they have been able to comfortably host corporate parties, seat large groups, and increase their normal seating capacity by nearly 200.
