Pure Social, Richardson: A Sloped Stone Patio Closed in Navy and Clear
Pure Social Bar & Grill sits on the end of a stone-fronted strip on the Bush Turnpike, with a covered patio that runs the whole side of the building. The roof slopes one way, the ground slopes the other, and the stone columns are not square to either. The owners first asked us about it in October 2025, came back in July 2026 ready to go, and had a closed patio with two steel doors before the first cold front.
What we built
- Customer: Pure Social Bar & Grill, Richardson, Texas.
- 9 manual roll-up panels in clear vinyl with navy solid borders, rope-and-pulley, zippered sides, on an existing covered patio with no new posts.
- Sizes: from 22 to 229 inches wide and up to 126 inches (10 feet 6 inches) tall. About 1,040 square feet.
- 2 framed steel doors, 2x2 steel in matte black, 40 and 42 inch leaves with clear panels, spiked into the slab. Door frames built by Droptine Welding.
- Fitted to the slope: panel bottoms level, tops cut to follow the roof, and half-round trim scribed on site to the stone columns.
- Colors: navy on clear, with matte black frames to match the patio rail.

Before and after
Before, the patio was a roof, a rail and string lights, open to the parking lot on two sides. The panels hang from a header under the roof edge and land behind the rail, so the lights still show from the lot and the room is warm inside.

Five steps, July to September 2026
- July 30, 2026: quote updated with the two framed doors, nine months after the first conversation.
- August 1, 2026: deposit received.
- August 5, 2026: design consultation on site. Our installer measured every bay against the slope and drew the two custom corner panels and the second door.
- August 24, 2026: into manufacturing.
- September 15 and 16, 2026: installed by our crew and signed off.

What made this one different
Nothing on this patio is level. The roof falls across the length of it and the slab falls the other way, so a panel that is square on paper is a parallelogram on the wall. We leveled every bottom edge so the panels sit right on the rail, cut the tops to the roof, and drew two of the panels and one door from scratch at the design consultation. The stone columns got trim shaped on site to close the gap without covering the stone.
The doors matter too. A patio that becomes a room needs a way out, so both doors are framed steel with closers and a clear panel, pinned into the slab, and they swing where guests already walk.
